Below your band's floor you are billed for the floor. Above it you are billed for actual seats, the rate never steps up.
When someone leaves and their mailbox is no longer found in Microsoft 365, the seat becomes archived and bills at 50% of the per-seat price from the next full billing period — US invoices use the period’s peak seat count, so the month somebody leaves still bills them in full. The data is retained, not actively backed up. Archived seats are excluded from per-seat add-ons, and they still count toward your band’s committed-seat floor.
You sign at a known per-seat rate. We can change list pricing only with advance written notice — 30 days month-to-month, 60 days on a committed term — and if a change doesn't suit you, you can leave the affected subscriptions with no early-termination fee. Renewals move to the then-current list.
Month-to-month ends at the close of the billing month. Committed terms run to term end, and the fee is shown before you confirm.

Every price is in US dollars and excludes any applicable sales, use or similar taxes.
Card payments are processed by Peach Payments in South African rand (ZAR) at the exchange rate shown at checkout. Your card issuer may apply currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees.
Every invoice we send a partner includes a payment processing fee, on its own line, of 3.5% of the invoice total, however the invoice is paid. On $1,000.00 of charges, the fee is $36.27 and the invoice total $1,036.27.

How much does Microsoft 365 backup cost?
Kapsul8 Microsoft 365 backup is priced per user per month on a volume ladder: $1.99 a seat for 1–9 seats, $1.49 for 10–99, $0.99 for 100–999 and $0.79 at 1,000+ seats, before any term discount. Committing for one, three or five years takes 10%, 18% or 25% off the seat rate, so the top band is $0.59 a seat on a five-year term. There is no seat minimum, and every band runs the identical product — volume changes the price, never the feature set.
Is Office 365 backup priced the same as Microsoft 365 backup?
Yes. “Office 365” is Microsoft’s former name for what is now Microsoft 365, and it is the same backup either way. Kapsul8 protects Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams at the single per-seat rate above, whether you search for Office 365 backup or Microsoft 365 backup pricing.
Do SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams backup cost extra?
No. SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Teams backup are all included in the one Kapsul8 per-seat price — there is no per-workload or per-service charge. Point-in-time and item-level restore across all four workloads are included at every band.
How much does Entra ID backup cost?
Microsoft Entra ID backup and recovery is the VentraID add-on, priced per tenant per month rather than per seat: Backup $9, Intelligence $29, Orchestration $49 and Advanced $99, with 15%, 25% and 35% discounts on one-, three- and five-year terms. You enable it only for the clients that need it, and it attaches to Kapsul8. Sign-in-based threat detectors require a Microsoft Entra ID P1 or P2 tenant.
Does VaultFuzion charge for storage?
There is no storage markup. Bring your own S3 bucket and we charge nothing for storage — your cloud provider bills you directly, and Object Lock immutability (WORM) is supported when your bucket has it enabled. Direct customers who would rather we provide the bucket are billed at our documented cost, with no margin.
Is there a seat minimum or a free trial?
There is no seat minimum — you can start at a single seat and grow into the lower bands. There is no self-service free trial; tell us about your MSP on the Get Started page and we’ll configure your first tenant.
Month-to-month carries no term commitment: it ends at the close of any billing month.
