Microsoft 365 backup for MSPs

VaultFuzion backs up every Microsoft 365 workload — Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft 365 Groups — agentlessly, into storage you own, with point-in-time restore and published per-seat pricing from $0.79 per user per month. It is multi-tenant by design, so a managed service provider runs its whole client base from one console.

What gets backed up

Exchange Online

Mailboxes, including mail, calendars and contacts, and in-place archives — captured agentlessly through the Graph API.

OneDrive and SharePoint

Files, document libraries and lists, with version history, across OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online sites.

Teams and Groups

Teams channel messages and files, and Microsoft 365 Group content — the collaboration data that lives outside a single mailbox.

How restore works

“Restore it” is three operations, not one, and they have opposite blast radii. Side-by-side puts recovered data beside what is live and touches nothing existing — the safe default. In-place merges the backup into the live location. Exact-state reverts a location to precisely how it looked at a chosen point in time. And the honest physics: your restore granularity is bounded by your backup frequency — point-in-time means one of the points you actually captured, not any arbitrary second.

Bring your own storage

VaultFuzion writes backups to your own S3-compatible bucket. You pick the region, you hold the data, and you own the egress — there is no vendor lock on where your clients’ copies live. Direct customers who would rather not run storage can use a bucket VaultFuzion provides instead, billed at cost.

Built for MSPs

One console covers every client. Each tenant is isolated with its own encryption key, so a key never spans customers. Monthly seat counts flow forward-only to your PSA — setting the quantity for the period you have not invoiced yet and never touching one you have already billed — so the number in the platform and the number on the invoice come from a single source. Backups are immutable under compliance-mode object lock — S3 Object Lock on your storage bucket, which you enable on your own BYOS bucket or get by default on one we provide — and every action is written to a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit trail.

Frequently asked questions

Which Microsoft 365 workloads does VaultFuzion back up?

Exchange Online mailboxes (mail, calendars and contacts), OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Groups. Backup is agentless — it connects through the Microsoft Graph API, with nothing to install on endpoints.

Does VaultFuzion store my data, or do I?

You do. VaultFuzion is bring-your-own-storage: backups are written to your own S3-compatible bucket, so you choose the region, own the data and control the egress. Direct customers can use a bucket VaultFuzion provides instead.

How much does Microsoft 365 backup cost?

Published per-seat pricing from $0.79 per user per month at volume, falling as seats grow, with no seat minimum. The full rate card and a cost calculator are on the pricing page — you do not need a sales call to see the price.

How does restore work?

Point-in-time restore with three modes: side-by-side (recovered data lands beside what is live, nothing is overwritten), in-place (merges into the live location) and exact-state (reverts to a chosen point in time). Restore granularity is bounded by your backup frequency.

Is it built for multi-tenant MSP operations?

Yes. One console runs your whole client base, every tenant is isolated, each has its own encryption key, and seat counts sync forward-only to your PSA so billing reconciles itself.

Are the backups immutable?

Yes. Backups are held under compliance-mode object lock (WORM): once written, they cannot be altered or deleted by anyone — not an attacker, not an administrator, not the vendor — until the retention period expires.
